The Alpha Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Purdue University was established in 1915 and was the first sorority on Purdue’s campus.
The chapter has owned three houses over the years and has occupied 607 N. Russell Street in West Lafayette, Indiana, since 1957. A major expansion to this location was completed in the early 1990s and a major fundraising campaign to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the chapter, raised $1.2 million to remodel the first floor and pay off the mortgage.
